Patrick McIlwain, Esq.
Patrick McIlwain is a partner at Rha Kim Grossman & McIlwain, LLP. He earned his undergraduate degree from Duquesne University, majoring in communication and sociology. After college, he worked as an Intensive Probation Officer in his home state of Pennsylvania. It was during this time that he realized his interest in the law and legal interpretation. Consequently, he left public service to attend the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School and received a Juris Doctorate cum laude. During law school, Patrick worked for the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office where he represented low-income clients facing major criminal charges.
Mr. McIlwain zealously represents domestic and international clients. His primary focus is on family law and criminal defense. He has defended clients charged with everything from petty misdemeanors to serious felonies.
In addition to his passion for legal work, Mr. McIlwain volunteers as a golf coach and instructor. He enjoys skiing, traveling, and playing ice hockey.
