D. Jenny Kim, Esq.
D. Jenny Kim is a partner at Rha Kim Grossman & McIlwain, LLP. She was raised in New York, and received a degree summa cum laude from Long Island University, with a major in political science and a minor in international business. After graduation, Ms. Kim attended Hofstra University School of Law.
Upon admission to the New York Bar, she served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases. During her many years as an Assistant District Attorney, she prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanors such as driving while intoxicated, prostitution, petit larceny and possession of controlled substance to serious felonies such as the sale of controlled substances, burglary, robbery, and weapons possession.
In addition to her criminal practice, she has also represented clients in a wide range of civil cases domestically and internationally. She represents clients in both state and federal courts, and has handled legal matters in various states and the Arbitration Court overseas.
Along with her partner, Megan Rha, Ms. Kim founded Rha Kim Grossman & McIlwain, LLP to protect and promote members of the community. In addition to her legal work, Ms. Kim has taught courses at Monroe College, and volunteers her time to train members of various non-profit organizations. She is fluent in Korean, and hosts a regular show on Radio Korea to answer questions about criminal law.
